Palitana

In Bhavnagar district of Saurashtra, Palitana temple complex atop 600 meters high Shetrunjaya hills with Shetrunji river following to its south is dedicated to the Gods of Jain faith. Nowhere in India and in the whole world one will find such a cluster of temples so beautiful, so ornate and so clean. The colossus of 863 temples is so well fortified and decorated with bastions, towers, spires, arches, domes, doorways and ponds that it becomes a life sight worth seeing and believing.

Ahemedabad

Ahmedabad is an architect's delight. Monuments of the Pre-Moghul era are the combines of the best in hindu and Muslim styles and blend happy with the latest and most. experimental and functional architecture. Sidi Saiyad's mosque is a fine example of Indo-saracenic architecture and Rani Rupmati mosque is a noble specimen of the delicate dexterity in the two types. From the modern architectural point of view, the city has some of the precious pieces of architecture. Many institutions of national importance located at Ahmedabad had have their buildings designed by such world famous architects as Le Corbusire, Louis Kahn, Charles Correa and B.V.Doshi.These include Ahmedabad Textile Industrial Research Association (ATIRA) and Sanskar Kendra (Le Corbusier), Indian Institute of Management (IIM) (Louis Kahn) and Tagore Memorial Theatre (B.V.Doshi).

Beach tourism

Gujarat tourism has recently commissioned two natural beach resorts of 4-star category: one at Chorwad called Palace Beach Resort which is the only genuine palace on a beach and the other at Ahmedpur- Mandvi called Samudra Beach Resort, both on Saurashtra coast in Junagadh district.

Chorwad

Chorwad popularly known, as Palace Beach Resort is a unique complex where cool sea breeze refreshes the visitors. In surrounding area Somnath, Sasangir, Porbandar are easily accessible. The folk dance popularly known as Tippani Nritya, which is a peculiarity of this region, is also worth watching
