Porbandar

After the film "Gandhi" Porbandar has shot into international prominence as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi which is a national memorial. Besides, Bharat Mata Mandir and Gurukul, Gujarat Tourism Corporation runs an excellent holiday home here on the beach. Legendary it is also known as Sudamapuri, in the name of Sudama, a friend of Lord Krishna.

Modhera

Reminiscent of the famous sun shrines at Konark in Orissa and Mortande in Kashmir the suntemple at located in Kashmir, the sun temple at Modhera is one of the finest examples of hindu architecture located in Gujrat. It as built during the region of king Bhim Dev 1 of the solanki dynasty in 1066-27. Ahmedpur Mandvi
